Economic Development
High-tech industries are finding the West Point area a haven for manufacturing and development.  Automotive suppliers, aviation/aerospace firms, defense contractors, and steel companies are among the industries that have recently located in the Golden Triangle. In 2010, Toyota is building a new manufacturing plant 60 miles north, near Tupelo.
The goals of the Growth Alliance are to retain and expand existing businesses, to recruit new business, and to continue to improve infrastructure. The Growth Alliance seeks to work with business owners to create an environment that is most conducive to growth of enterprise. |
